Basement Finishing
Turning space you already own into space you use
Finishing a basement is the cheapest square footage you will ever add to a house, because the shell is already there. But near the water table this close to the bay, it is also the one project where getting the order wrong costs the most: moisture has to be dealt with first, honestly, before a single stud goes up. We would rather tell you the basement needs drainage work before it needs drywall than frame over a problem and hand you a mould claim in three years.
Our Process
Check It Dry
We look for water staining, efflorescence and grading problems first, and tell you straight if the basement needs work before it needs finishing.
Plan the Layout
Rooms, egress, mechanicals and ceiling height get worked out on paper before anything is built around them.
Frame & Rough-In
Framing, insulation, electrical and any plumbing go in, inspected where the township requires it.
Finish the Space
Drywall, trim, flooring and paint turn it into a room, and we walk the finished space with you.
